Nasa Explores Cost Effective Methods For Mars Sample Returning Mission

 Nasa exploring alternative ways to bring sample of Mars to earth,as a part of Mars sample returning program.these samples are collected by  Perseverance rover  from 2021 to send them to earth for further studies Credit : nasa In that process Nasa conducting about 10 studies to find fast and reliable way to bring sample back to earth.as a effort of that Nasa will award about $1.5 millon to seven proposers for 90 days studies Additionally Nasa centers,NASA's JBL of california etc are also in studies.once all these studies are completed,Nasa will consider all studies to make modifications to Mars sample bringing plan “Mars Sample Return will be one of the most complex missions NASA has undertaken, and it is critical that we carry it out more quickly, with less risk, and at a lower cost,”. “I’m excited to see the vision that these companies, centers and partners present as we look for fresh, exciting, and innovative ideas to uncover great cosmic secrets from the Red Planet.”s

Their models had predicted that, despite traveling 25 million miles closer to the heat of the Sun than it was originally designed to, OSIRIS-APEX and its components would remain safe. The mission team confirmed that the spacecraft indeed had come out of the experience unscathed after downloading stored telemetry data in mid-March.
